Alice Pleasance Liddell (4 May 1852 – 16 November 1934) inspired the children’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), when she asked him to tell her a story on a boating trip in Oxford.
