Glory Bumps, Dartford Heath

For many decades the ‘Glory Bumps’ on Dartford Heath have been a favourite with kids for dirt jumping.

The creation of the ditches and mounds was the result of brickmakers excavating the soil during the early 1800s to reveal Brickearth which was used to make bricks for house building.
