Mary Portas Visits the Gallery

Mary Portas visits the Gallery

Trout Mask Replica ReplicaMary Portas (Mary Queen of Shops) came into my gallery to say hello today.  During her visit she commented on the diverse styles of my work, and we had a brief chat about Captain Beefheart – which happened to include my tribute to Dan Van Vliet.  After a brief tour, Mary wished me well and set off for Dartford High Street.

She had a meeting with the team behind the Dartford’s Portas Pilot project, and was taken for a tour of Dartford’s Central Park with town centre manager Lewis Kirnon and council leader Jeremy Kite.

About

Nature plays a large part in my work — particularly skies and stretching perspectives. Representing the 'feel' of nature, very often as an abstraction using various techniques in oil, acrylic, or watercolour.
